BAND & STRING INSTRUMENT LESSONS
If your child will be moving to 4th grade and is interested in taking lessons on a band or stringed instrument for the 2016-2017 school year please do the following;

OBTAIN A RENTAL INSTRUMENT
The SPRING-FORD ELEMENTARY BAND program is switching its lesson book for the 2016-2017 school year. We will be using;
1st Semester Workbook and Arrangements Collection by Steve Hommel – Rubber Band Arrangements.
This will be for Bb Clarinet, Eb Alto Saxophone, Bb Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone B.C. (only) French Horn, and Mallet Percussion.
Flutes will continue to use FLUTE 101: MASTERING THE BASICS BY Phyllis Avidan Louke and Patricia George
The SPRING-FORD ELEMENTARY STRINGS program uses the following method book for violin, viola, cello, and bass.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS FOR STRINGS BOOK 1
Children who will be five years old by August 31, 2016 will be eligible for Kindergarten in the 2016-2017 school year. Kindergarten registration will begin on February 16, 2016 and end on March 22, 2016.
Parents should select "Student Registration" on the left side of the home page. Once the on-line paperwork is complete, parents will be prompted to select a date and time for the appointment, which will be held at their child’s elementary school. Parents who are unsure of their elementary school, or are unable to select an appointment, should call 610-705-6120.
Due to a change in the PA State Child Protective Services Laws, effective July 1, 2015, there are new clearance requirements for all VOLUNTEERS who would like to assist in a classroom, library, go on a field trip, assist with the School Store or with building activities/events. Please click on Volunteer Information on the district's homepage located along the right hand side for additional information regarding the requirements/clearances you must obtain before you may volunteer.
2015-2016 TRANSPORTATION FORM
If your child will be attending a daycare program before or after school, a new Child Care Form must be filled out each school year. Information does not carry over from year to year. This information holds true even if your child is attending the YMCA Program before/after school at Oaks Elementary. Please click here for this year's Child Care form.
